A pull request from a fork can make a simple push less obvious than it looks. The branch under review may live on a different remote from the main repository. gh-prpush is a GitHub CLI extension built around that workflow: find the pull request, identify its head, and push the current work to the right place.
Resolve the destination explicitly
The extension inspects pull-request information and chooses the appropriate fork or origin destination. It pushes HEAD to the pull request's head branch, reducing the amount of remote and branch bookkeeping a contributor needs to repeat manually.
Keep force an intentional choice
A force-with-lease option supports workflows that rewrite branch history. That still deserves a deliberate decision: collaborators may have added commits, and branch protections or repository permissions can prevent an update. The extension operates within Git and GitHub's permissions rather than bypassing them.
Use it in an existing CLI workflow
The project builds on the GitHub CLI, so it fits a terminal workflow that already uses gh for authentication and pull requests. Follow the repository's installation and command reference, and confirm the target pull request before updating a branch shared with others.
