Storage fills gradually. A cache here, an old download there, and suddenly deciding what to remove takes longer than expected. JunkSweep brings several ways of inspecting a Windows computer into one desktop application, so the decision can start with a clearer view of what is there.

Start with a useful inventory

The Full Cleaner, Large Files, Duplicate Files, and Image Scan views answer different questions about your storage. A large file is not necessarily junk, and matching files are not automatically disposable. The point is to find candidates and review them in context before choosing a cleanup. Installed Apps, Startup Programs, and Drives & Info extend that view beyond individual files.

Keep the cleanup deliberate

JunkSweep includes Recycle Bin controls, reports, storage statistics, schedules, and alerts. Its cleanup service supports moving files to the Recycle Bin as well as an explicit permanent-deletion option. Files that are locked or cannot be removed need to be handled as exceptions, rather than counted as successfully cleaned. Always review the selection and keep backups of anything you need.

Download the Windows release

The project page now hosts version 1.3.8 for Windows 10 or newer on x64. The 48.5 MB installer includes the application runtime. This build is not digitally signed; the page makes that visible and includes a SHA-256 checksum so you can compare your download with the published file.
